My Biography
Professional Background
Specialty Training
Dr. Hartline always loved science and anatomy growing up, paying special interest whenever the veterinarian would come out to her family’s property for the horses and cows. Time on the ranch integrated hard work, dedication, and commitment into Dr. Hartline’s everyday life.
She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Plan II – a highly selective liberal arts honors program. She worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center as a researcher and went on to medical school at UT Health San Antonio where she loved the anatomy lab, returning as a teacher’s assistant in her final years. She completed general surgery residency at Methodist Dallas, where, among general, trauma, and transplant surgery, she learned the foundations of vascular surgery that set her up for success as a microsurgeon in Plastic Surgery Fellowship. Her time in general surgery also gave her a solid foundation for general patient care and safety.
